The Lydia is a charming little place in a perfect spot. Rooms are comfortable, very effective AC and a compact, but very good, bathroom. Cleaning staff v good. Breakfast was a very good selection and lovely location to eat on the patio. Staff were friendly and helpful all round. Would definitely return!

Just returned from a two week stay at Lydia hotel. This was the first time we’d stayed bed and breakfast at a town hotel because we usually go fully inclusive, five star, so we’re a bit sceptical but we needn’t had worried. The hotel really is five minutes from old town, beach and bus station. Although it was central it was very quiet at night and I had the best sleep I’d had for years! Yes, the hotel could do with updating but it was clean, staff were friendly and helpful and plenty of choice at breakfast. So what more could you ask for. This is Greece remember. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Lydia if you want a clean, central hotel in Rhodes that’s in a great position.

Our room was really big and had every comfort, air conditioner, a balcony, a bathroom with a good size, the hotel was really beautiful and seemed freshly restored, it looks modern and sophisticated, the breakfast room is big and you have a great choice of food, from the sweet to the salt and a special greek section were you can have a greek salad or a greek yogurt with fruits. I must admit that the coffee was probably the only thing i didn’t like, it was too “light” for me. The position is perfect to visit both new town (just 1 minute from mandraki area) and old town (just 5/10 minutes walk from the castle). The zone was really quite at night, i would surely come back here.
